Now you think you've seen every type of website and then along comes another that
makes you sit back and think 'What on earth is next?'. Get Ripped Off For A Dollar
is a site which makes a virtue out of all that annoying spam you receive every day
offering you unlimited wealth, beauty and staying power for \"almost nothing\". For
just a dollar, you can now get \"officially\" ripped off, and get a certificate to
prove it! Some people obviously have too much time on their hands!

Here's how it works and it's not so silly...
Firstly (ok, this bit really is silly) you get a "100% designed certificate". Not
bad for a dollar until you realize you have to print the certificate off yourself.
Well, they do say they are going to rip you off!

Secondly, and this is where there is some value (according to the developers) you
can tick a box to have your name and website displayed on their website. The benefit
of this is that you get a link back to your own website which search engines pick up
on, in turn helping your own website\'s page rankings. If the website takes off, then
this feature alone will make your little \"investment\" worthwhile.

Thirdly, the developers aim to use 10% of the proceeds from the site to highlight
the real web criminals who prey on gullible and trusting people with an education
and awareness website.

As they state on their website we've probably all been contacted by someone trying
to get us to smuggle something out of a country we've never heard of or offering to
enlarge one of our body parts with miracle tablets, so why not try something to stop
these criminals?

Why did they bother?
Inspired by a 21 year old kid from the UK who developed the website "Million Dollar
Home Page" and who has now reportedly made US $730,000 selling pixels, the web
development team based in Sydney, Australia decided to put their web skills to use
for their own benefit, rather than their paying clients!
